PROJECT INFORMATION
Seni Mont Kiara Interior Design Overview
This Seni Mont Kiara interior design project demonstrates how Scandinavian principles — warmth, simplicity, and functional clarity — can elevate everyday living. Moreover, the neutral palette and soft textures help create a calm and grounded atmosphere. Through thoughtful planning and detailed craftsmanship, the 2,411 sqft layout is transformed into a highly livable and understated modern home.

PROJECT CONCEPT & DESIGN DIRECTION
The Scandinavian direction is anchored by clean lines, warm timber tones, and a calming palette that softens the geometry of the existing floorplan. In addition, the layout encourages better movement between private and shared spaces. The aim is to create a home that feels bright, open, and grounded while supporting the needs of a multi-room residence.
- Enhancing natural light penetration from the lanai and living façade
- Improving spatial flow from the private lift lobby to the main living areas
- Creating functional transitions between wet kitchen, dry kitchen, and dining
- Designing practical built-ins that emphasize horizontal calm and visual order
SPACE PLANNING STRATEGY FOR THE TYPE C LAYOUT
1. Entrance & Foyer
A soft-lit foyer establishes the Scandinavian tone early. Storage is integrated along the corridor to minimize visual clutter as residents walk toward the living space.
2. Living & Dining Zone
The wide frontage opening to the lanai allows ample natural light. We used low-profile furniture, matte finishes, and warm wood textures to maintain a cohesive Scandinavian identity. The living and dining areas were kept open to maximize flow and sightlines.
3. Dry Kitchen & Dining Integration
The dry kitchen becomes a social anchor of the home. Light wood cabinetry paired with neutral quartz surfaces complements the Scandinavian theme while maintaining practical storage for a family.
4. Wet Kitchen Optimization
The wet kitchen’s enclosed position retains functionality while receiving ventilated upgrades. Material selections are durable and easy to maintain without breaking the Scandinavian narrative.
5. Bedrooms
Each bedroom features a calming color palette, integrated wardrobes, and accent lighting. For the master suite, emphasis was placed on symmetry, warmth, and quiet luxury.
6. Family Area (Central Node)
This transitional space acts as a secondary lounge, designed with soft furnishings and neutral tones to maintain the Scandinavian sense of calm and comfort.
MATERIAL & COLOUR PALETTE
The core palette emphasizes natural warmth and visual softness:
- Light oak wood
- Soft greys and earthy neutrals
- Fine-textured fabrics
- Matte black accents for architectural clarity
- Warm ambient lighting throughout
